Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multiple position eligibility and may not always match their position between them. In this article, we’ll break down some of our favorite games on the slate down to their positions. Remember to keep an eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news slates change frequently.
Keep
Trae Young (DK$10,100, FD$9,900)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL AST |
Trae young | ATL | 57 | 28 | 29 | 34.6 | 28.1 | 82.2 | 7 | 16.6 |
The Hawks are 6-4 in their last 10 games, retaining a berth in the Qualifying Tournament in 10th place in the Eastern Conference. Tonight’s game against the Pacers is favorable; in the last 15 games, the Pacers rank 29th in defensive ratings. Over the season, Young is averaging a fantastic 1.32 points per minute.
Devonte’ Graham (DK$6,100, FD$5,700)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL AST |
Devonte’Graham | NO | 57 | 24 | 33 | 30.3 | 12.8 | 66.5 | 4.4 | 8.2 |
The Pelicans continue to be without their main offensive weapons, CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram. Tonight they host the Rockets in New Orleans, and even with their key players on the shelf, the Pelicans are still 7-point favorites in this game. The Rockets rank 30th in defensive rankings and 1st in pace on the season. In the previous game without CJ and BI, Graham scored 19 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in 34 minutes played.
Cheeky
Naji Marshall (DK$4,600, FD$3,900)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL SAT |
Naji Marshall | NO | 35 | 13 | 22 | 10.2 | 4.2 | 16.3 | 4.1 | 1.7 |
I will feature several Pelicans players in this article, the game and the opportunity are great, and these guys’ salaries are always close at hand (especially on Fanduel).
Dillon Brooks (DK$4,900, FD$5,000)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL AST |
Dillon Brooks | SAME | 20 | 12 | 8 | 28.1 | 18.5 | 45.1 | 6.4 | 4.4 |
Brooks has been out since Jan. 8 with an ankle injury, and it’s officially in doubt to play tonight against the Thunder. We’ll have to monitor this as we get closer to lockdown, but Brooks’ ownership will be less than it should be at this salary if he adapts tonight. On the season, Brooks is averaging a fantastic 1.04 points per minute.
Power front and center
Jaxson Hayes (DK$4,700, FD$4,200)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL AST |
Jaxson Hayes | NO | 49 | 18 | 31 | 17.6 | 8.9 | 23.9 | 7 | 1.4 |
Hayes is the last Pelicans player to be mentioned in this article, but certainly not the least. Over the season, Hayes is averaging 0.95 fantasy points per minute.
Joel Embiid (DK$12,000, FD$10,700)
PLAYER | TEAM | generalist | O | I | MIN | pls | KEYS | REC OPPORTUNITIES | POTENTIAL AST |
Joel Embid | ISP | 49 | 34 | 15 | 33 | 29.8 | 74.7 | 18.9 | 7.2 |
With all the value available tonight, it makes sense to pay for a player like Embiid. The Magic rank 20th in defensive rating, 10th in pace, 23rd in rebounding percentage and 27th in fantasy points allowed at center position. The MVP candidate is averaging a fantastic 1.63 points per minute on the season.
