SomerCor Vice President Elisabeth Williams receives Women of Achievement Award
Williams is an experienced Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 lender focused on expanding the reach of women in banking, commercial real estate, and entrepreneurship. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for over $ 140 million in small business loans.
“His experience as an entrepreneur and his deep understanding of the SBA 504 loan program is a unique and effective combination,” said Manuel Flores, President and CEO of SomerCor. “She is committed to expanding SomerCor’s presence throughout Illinois to grow businesses and create more jobs, especially among women-owned businesses.”
Williams was one of six female leaders recognized not only for their own professional accomplishments, but also for their commitment to supporting other women on their respective career paths.
“It is a privilege to honor accomplished women at our annual awards luncheon that showcases the diversity and successes that inspire our community,” said Elizabeth Colón, President of NAWBO Chicago.
In February of this year, SomerCor became a sponsor of NAWBO Chicago, a chapter of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs. Williams has led the way in strengthening that relationship by attending public and virtual events, as well as leading a webinar on SBA’s small business resources in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis.
