Recap: Red Wings settle for 1 point in overtime loss to Arizona, 2-1

GLENDALE, Arizona – The Detroit Red Wings scored the first point of their four-game road trip, but lost a 2-1 overtime decision to the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Saturday night.
Detroit (8-9-3) will be inactive until next Wednesday’s annual Thanksgiving game (Nov. 24) against the St. Louis Blues.
The Red Wings held a 1-0 lead for more than 44 minutes of playing time, but allowed the tying goal in the third period and the eventual winner in overtime.

The second period went scoreless, but the Red Wings outscored the Coyotes, 15-6. Arizona killed two penalties in Detroit to keep their deficit to one goal (1-0) before the last quarter.
