Premier Sports is home to the United Rugby Championship (the former PRO14 tournament), LaLiga and more for viewers in the UK and Ireland.

Launched in 2009, the channel is accessible via Sky or Virgin platforms or online via Premier Player, as well as via NOW TV for Irish viewers.

So what does a Premier Sports package include, how much does it cost, and how can you watch the coverage through your TV?

We have what you need:

How much does Premier Sports cost in the UK and what does it include?

The Premier Sports package includes Premier Sports 1 and 2, LaLiga TV and BoxNation channels.

There are three subscription options to choose from:

  1. £ 12.99 per month for a minimum period of six months
  2. £ 14.99 per month with a minimum term of one month
  3. Initial annual subscription of £ 129 (average £ 10.75 per month, auto-renewing)

Included are all 2021/22 United Rugby Championship campaign matches, Scottish Cup Final Fourth Round “Biggest Games”, Premier Sports Cup, every LaLiga match plus daily studio broadcasts, and 15 matches per week of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

There is also access to the BoxNation channel for Sky Premier Player customers, all 38 NASCAR Monster Energy Series races, a selection of Major League Soccer games from America and Canada, weekly highlights of BRISCA F1 and 70 GAA matches of All-Ireland, Allianz League and Club Championships. Premier Sports Sky customers in Northern Ireland would also have access to Eir Sport 1.

Customers in Northern Ireland can access Premier Sports 1, Premier Sports 2 by subscribing to Premier Sports for £ 11.99 per month via Sky or Premier Player online.

What if I only want to watch LaLiga TV?

It is possible to subscribe only to LaLiga TV.

This would cost £ 7.99 per month over a minimum term of one month, or on average £ 5.75 per month with a minimum term of 12 months paid in a single payment of £ 69.

How can I watch Premier Sports on my TV?

The channel is currently only available in the UK and Ireland.

On Sky: Premier 1 is channel 412, Premier 2 is channel 429, LaLiga TV is channel 435, and BoxNation is channel 427.

On Virgin TV, Premier 1 is channel 552, Premier 2 is channel 552, LaLiga TV is channel 554, and BoxNation is channel 546.

Can I stream Premier Sports live?

Premier Sports provides the Premier Player for those who do not have Sky or Virgin at home.

Customers can watch any event live or replay from the previous week with a seven-day catch-up service, which is included in TV subscriptions for existing Premier Sports Sky subscribers.

You can visit www.premierplayer.tv for more information.

Do I have to subscribe to other Sky channels to watch Premier Sports?

No. Premier Sports says you don’t need to subscribe to a Sky TV package or channels to receive Premier Sports, but the channel will only work with a Sky decoder and satellite dish.

Premier Sports may provide a viewing card for its channels if your Sky Box is used for free streaming only.

Why are some programs blocked on Premier Sports?

The broadcaster said on its website: “Certain licensed programs are only available on Premier Sports in the Republic of Ireland and / or Northern Ireland.

“These are Premier League games at 3 p.m.

“This means that in the UK viewers on Virgin and SKY will get the message ‘Program unavailable’, ‘Coverage resumes x times).

“These blocks do not affect any Premier Sports live programming.”

How can customers in the Republic of Ireland access Premier Sports?

For Sky customers, Premier Sports says it will be through its Sports Extra package which also includes BT Sport. Sky Sports customers can add the package for € 10 per month for the first six months, increasing to € 20 per month.

For non-Sky customers who do not have Sky Sports, it is € 17 per month, then € 34 after six months. You can find out more via the site.
