Cal Peterson (G – LA)
Peterson is a goaltender currently ranked outside the top 200 to watch this season. He has a chance to prove that he was well worth the $ 5 million investment the Kings made. For what appears to be an improved squad, he could return solid value this season.
Alexander Wennberg (C / F – SEA)
Injuries should open up playing time early for Wennberg, who will be looking to offer fantasy managers. If he’s able to make the most of his opportunity with the surrounding weapons, Wennberg could remain in the rotation for the season as the currently selected person around the 400 pick.
Cody Glass (C – NSH)
The former top 10 pick will have every chance of producing for his new team in Nashville. Considering the lack of surrounding talent, Glass should see a lot of ice. He’s worth a flyer to see if he’ll be able to make a dent and really burst into his 22-year-old season.
Alexandre Texier (C / LW – CBJ)
It will be one to watch. It looks like Texier should have the No.1 center spot in Columbus. However, with prospect Cole Sillinger blowing his neck, he’ll have to produce if he’s going to keep it. If he does and is able to fend off Sillinger, it could mean big things for those who invest in the veteran.
Conor Timmins (D – ARI)
After a hot preseason, Timmins will see if a change of location helps him realize the potential he has shown over the years. He should have no problem pushing for game time in Arizona, and if he’s able to stay healthy and avoid further concussions, he could deliver strong value.
