Europa League draw: Celtic play Bayer Leverkusen and Rangers against Lyon

Celtic will face Bayer Leverkusen, Real Betis and Ferencvaros in Group G of the Europa League.
Rangers, meanwhile, were drawn against Lyon, Sparta Prague and Brondby in Group A.
Both Glasgow sides were in the Champions League qualifying phase but were knocked out of the Europa League qualifiers – Celtic by Midtjylland in the second round and Rangers by Malmö in the third.
Steven Gerrard’s Rangers beat Alashkert’s Armenian side in play-offs, beating them 1-0 at home and drawing 0-0 away.
Celtic beat Czech team Jablonec 7-2 overall in the third qualifying round, before beating AZ Alkmaar 3-2 in the play-off. Ange Postecoglu’s men beat their Dutch opponents 2-0 at home, with a 2-1 loss in Holland still enough to see them progress.
The group stage of the Europa League kicks off on Thursday 16 September.
