Corey Perry and Loui Eriksson to headline busy day on NHL waiver wire

Corey Perry, Loui Eriksson and Mathieu Perreault are headliners for several notable names that were waived by NHL teams on Monday as rosters are finalized before the start of the regular season.

Defenseman Noah Juulsen has been called for waivers by the Florida Panthers from the Montreal Canadiens.

Teams must finalize rosters by 5 p.m. ET Tuesday, meaning Monday was the last day to place players on waivers and have their situation resolved before that deadline.

A new wrinkle in the shortened pandemic season is the addition of taxi squads of four to six players for each team. Taxi team players travel and train with teams during the season, but are treated as minor league players below the salary cap. As a result, a player who requires waivers to be allocated to the AHL must go through waivers to be allocated to the taxi team and any team claiming that a player cannot immediately assign them to the taxi team.

Below are the 89 players who were waived on Monday.
