Community Hosts Life Celebration for Teenagers Killed in Middleton Car Crash | 97 Seven Country WGLR – The best country variety of the tri-state

The three teenagers – Simon Bilessi, Jack Miller and Evan Kratochwill – died on October 9 when a driver crashed into the student vehicle on West Mineral Point Road. Bilessi was senior at Madison West High School, and Miller and Kratochwill were senior at Middleton High School.

News of the tragic accident arrived a few days before Reunion week at Middleton High School. School officials said they plan to hold Spirit Night activities, the soccer game and the reunion dance as planned to give the students the chance to support each other as a community.
Students, staff and community members shared statements following the tragic crash saying Bilessi, Miller and Kratochwill were “Bright lights” in the community.
On Tuesday night, in Madison West’s first football game since the crash, former Bilessi teammates dedicated the game to their former captain. Bilessi also volunteered regularly for One City School’s football program.
Miller was a dedicated athlete at Middleton High. He was the goalie for the soccer team and played club hockey. He was also involved in student council.
Kratochwill was a member of the Middleton High cross country team.
A Configuring GoFundMe to pay the funeral and burial costs of the three students has now reached more than $ 100,000, well above its original goal of $ 15,000, as families, businesses and organizations rally to cover the costs of tragedy.
