United States: Matt Tennyson, Matthew Hellickson, Matty Beniers (prospect)
Devils defenseman Matt Tennyson collected an assist for the USA side in their 3-0 win over Kazakhstan on Tuesday morning.
Tennyson, who helped Jack Drury’s goal in the third period, had two points (1G-1A) in three games for the United States, as well as a plus 1. The Americans are now 2-0. -0-1 in the tournament.
Devils prospect Matthew Hellickson had four shots, a plus-1 and 16:34 minutes of ice time. The top pick in the potential 2021 Draft, Matty Beniers, was a plus-1 in 7 minutes of play.
US goalie Cal Peterson saved all 18 shots for the shutout against Kazakhstan, who fell to 0-2-0-1.

SWEDEN 7, SWITZERLAND 0
Switzerland: Nico Hischier, Jonas Siegenthaler
Sweden scored the game’s first goal and never looked back in a tie-break 7-0 win over Switzerland.
Despite losing seven goals, Hischier finished the game with a minus-1 in 17:41 minutes of ice time. Jonas Siegenthaler did not participate in the competition.
Switzerland suffered their first defeat at the World Championship and are now 2-0-0-1. It was Sweden’s first victory, improving to 1-0-0-2.
Next: Switzerland face undefeated Slovakia on Thursday at 9:15 am EST. The match will feature Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler against Devils teammate Marian Studenic.
