Absences related to the NHL COVID protocol: 05/17/21

Each day, the NHL will publicly publish the list of players who are not available for their respective teams due to the COVID-19 protocol. Here is Monday’s list:
Calgary – TBD
Minnesota – TBD
Saint-Louis – David Perron, Jake Walman, Nathan Walker
As a reminder, inclusion on this list does not mean that a player has tested positive for coronavirus or even that he has been confirmed as close contact with another positive person. The list of possible reasons for someone to be on the NHL list includes the following:
(1) an initial positive test which remains unconfirmed until the confirmatory test is completed according to the positive test protocol; (2) compulsory isolation for symptomatic persons according to the positive test protocol; (3) quarantine required as high risk close contact according to positive testing protocol; (4) isolation based on a confirmed positive test result and / or; (5) quarantine for travel or other reasons, as outlined in the COVID-19 protocol
Players deleted Monday: none
It’s bad news for the Blues, who will be without Perron for the first game against the Avalanche on Monday night. Top scorer for the Blues, Perron has collected 58 points in 56 games and has played very well against the Avalanche throughout his career. St. Louis will have to hope that his passage through the protocol will be completed in a few days.
