1. Mr. Burns, a post-electric piece

  • Why go: Watch this weird, wild, and goofy production inspired by an episode of “The Simpsons.” Oh !
  • When: Thursday-Sunday 27-30 October | 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.
  • Where: Boren court scene, 876 Montague Dr, Birmingham, AL 35229
  • Cost: $20 general admission | $10 students

2. Art after 5: star wars

  • Why go: Feel like you’re in an X-wing Starfighter with a stellar view of the galaxy with a projection of the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope, music, drinks and creative art.
  • When: Friday October 28 | 5pm-9pm
  • Where: Birmingham Art Museum, 2000 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35203

3. Boo Halloween Party

  • Why go: A spooky evening with live music, karaoke, horror movie lounge, costume contest + photo booth? Count on me!

  • Why go: Participate – or eat! – for the best BBQ ribs, Boston Butt + Sauce to help Children’s Harbor’s mission to provide unique services to critically ill children and their families.

  • Why go: The whole family will love this Halloween event where everyone can dress up, trick or treat + shop at Cahaba Heights businesses.
  • When: Saturday October 29 | 10am-5pm
  • Where: Cahaba Heights Participating Companies

6. Trunk-or-Treat Car Show and Alpha Charlie Grill

  • Why go: Grab your costume and decorate your car to perfection for a candy-filled fun time.
  • When: Saturday October 29 | 10am-3pm

  • Cost: $10 for the auto show

seven. Cahaba Heights Witch Tower

  • Why go: Get dressed and hop on your bike for a good ride through Cahaba Heights. Throw candy at the looky-loos and support the Cahaba Heights Merchant Association’s community beautification initiative.

8. The 5th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl

  • Why go: Long live the Halloween weekend! This crawl is for or anyone who wants to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with costumes and drinks at participating bars in Lakeview. Participating bars include Moe’s, Mojo Pub, Carrigan’s Public House and TrimTab Brewing Company.
  • When: Saturday October 29 | 4pm-midnight
  • Where: Start with Moe’s Original BBQ – Lakeview, 731 29th St. S, Birmingham, AL 35233
  • Cost: $25 single ticket | $20 group tickets (must buy four or more)

9. Birmingham Bulls home opener against Knoxville Ice Bears

  • Why go: Cheer on the Birmingham hockey team at the season opener + be part of the exciting atmosphere. Be sure to wear red!

11. Walk to End Alzheimer’s 2022 – Heart of Alabama

  • Why go: Dress up in your favorite purple costume and enjoy family fun like lawn games, face painting, a balloon artist and more. All funds raised help support the life-changing work of the Alzheimer’s Association.
